Will Ekoair+ fit my fireplace?
Ekoair+ fits most fireplaces and wood-burning sauna stoves with a firebox large enough to hold it. The product is 220 mm wide and 240 mm high, and the depth adjusts to your firebox between 210 and 360 mm. For sauna stoves and small fireboxes there is a separate model, Ekoair S. How does Ekoair+ work?
In a traditional fireplace, cold combustion air enters beneath the logs, so combustion remains incomplete and some of the flue gases escape unburned up the chimney. Ekoair+ guides preheated combustion air to the right place: to the flue gases above the wood load. This way the flue gases burn in the firebox: you use up to 40% less firewood and fine particle emissions drop by up to 80%.
How is Ekoair+ installed?
Ekoair+ is an accessory that you simply place in the fireplace, so no separate installation work or modifications to the fireplace are needed. Adjust the depth to suit your firebox and set the air guide in place. See the steps in the installation and user video and in the user manual.
Can Ekoair+ be used in a wood-burning sauna stove?
Yes. Ekoair+ is also suitable for wood-burning sauna stoves. In the sauna, in addition to cleaner combustion and wood savings, you enjoy more oxygen-rich löyly (sauna steam).
Does Ekoair+ replace the old EkoAir model?
Yes. Ekoair+ replaces the earlier LumoX EkoAir (for fireplaces) model, which has been discontinued.

Savings and cleanliness for wood heating
In traditional fireplaces, the mixture of air and combustion gases is not optimal because the combustion air enters cold beneath the wood. This results in inefficient combustion, and much of the harmful combustion gases remain unburned, escaping as wasted heat and pollution into the environment and causing nuisance to the neighborhood.
The LumoX Ekoair+ air guide is an add-on device (air guide) installed in the fireplace, developed by a firefighter from Ylivieska. This innovative and patented device directs preheated combustion air to the right place, namely over the wood logs into the combustion gases. The preheated air does not cool the combustion gases, and by directing it properly, the combustion gases are made to burn in the firebox. This achieves excellent results, such as up to 40% savings in firewood consumption and 80% lower emissions.
In addition, the LumoX Ekoair+ protects the structures of the fireplace and chimney, extending their service life. Soot buildup is reduced, and glass doors and the firebox remain clear.
In a sauna environment in addition to clean combustion and wood savings, you can also enjoy oxygen-rich steam.
The product replaces the previous LumoX EkoAir (fireplace) model, which has been discontinued.
